There is a problem with the search. I've been testing some of the search strings people are looking for and don't get the correct results. This problem occurs when categories are set up with the keyword or title filter. A lot of products don't have their own node so you use the parent node and use the keyword/title filter. This works for settings up the categories but when you use the search it doesnt use the categories filters but just searches in the node.

For example, let's say you have a category <brandname> baby shoes. Now there isn't a node available for this specific category so you use the baby shoes node and set the keyword or title filter on <brandname>. Now when you search for "baby shoes" on the site the result will show ALL brand baby shoes from the category <brandname> baby shoes.

See what i mean? the filters are dropped and the search just goes through the node without the filters.
Adjusting the advanced settings, search all behaviour and set it to browse node (and fill in the 3 fields below) doesn't work either and can't be used if there are multiple categories with different nodes.

I would like to see the search serch WITHIN the categories with the keyword//title filter and not just the nodes.

I think this is a big problem because if someone can't find the product through the search they are not going to browse through all the categories and you will lose a potential sale.

hey dutch did you find a solution to this problem? I too would like to know how to fix this.

Also with one of your previous questions (filtering two different keywords) did you find a solution to this too? I want to be able to filter multiple brands of clothing, using a comma between filter words just causes blank results. Thanks.

It seems its not working.

All we need is a Text Box where can paste a list of keywords seperated in New line, which will work as a Filter prior to Display Results.

Unfortunately not, no response from the admin either so i'm hoping this will be fixed in the next version.
