Hi, ive just purchased and begun installing ANS and have ran into a problem. So far i have edited the config.php, renamed it and done all the chmodding. After navigating to the install folder everything seems to run fine:

Affiliate Niche Script v3.1.133
Step 1
PHP..... installed. (v5.2.16)

cURL..... installed. (v7.20.0)

MySQL extension..... loaded.

Connected to MySQL..... done. (v5.1.47-community-log)

Connected to Database..... done.

But after that i get no button to proceed to step 2. I'm assuming that everything went fine as no errors have come up. If someone can help me that would be great, cheers!

does going to your site's admin page work? so http://<yoursite>/admin ?

hey thanks for the reply. No, I'm getting a 500 Server error when visiting the admin page.

You don't have ioncube supported yet. It took me a while to figure that out, but as soon as i looked in the database.php file and seen the encrpytion I figured it must be that. Make sure your php.ini file is in the right place and properly configured. Mine worked straight away after that.

i've just set up a new site, this is what i got:

PHP..... installed. (v5.2.15)

Connected to Database..... done.

License key (ANSOwned-XXXXXXXXXXXXX) is..... Active.

Is writable Cache (/cache) ..... Yes.

Is writable ANS Cache (/cache/ans) ..... Yes.

Is writable Amazon Cache (/cache/amazon) ..... Yes.

Is writable Database Cache (/cache/db) ..... Yes.


So could be something your hosting is missing, maybe ioncube like ruben said?

Ok i have seen this ioncube and php.ini mentioned around the site but have no idea what it is. Is there documentation on how to install it? And how to install php.ini? If anyone could give me run down that would be great.

ioncube is a php encoder. This script is written in php, and in order for ANS to maintain control and drive a profit, they encrypt certain files.

Who is your web host? Most support ioncube as standard, and just require an uploaded php.ini file into the root folder, others run it out the box, and a few others will install it on request. You need it, so your host can parse the files.

Great i installes php.ini using the cpanel and all seems to be working now. Thanks all for your help!
