I just got a email from Amazon about the changes to their API.

Dear Product Advertising API Developer,

As you know, the Amazon Product Advertising API is a service that enables Associates to make money by advertising Amazon products in their websites and applications and sending traffic back to Amazon. We recently conducted a usage review of the Amazon Product Advertising API and found that some of the API’s features are infrequently used. Due to low usage, we plan to deprecate the following operations and response groups on October 15, 2010:

CustomerContentLookup ListmaniaLists
CustomerContentSearch MerchantItemAttributes
Help PromotionDetails
ListLookup Subjects
ListSearch Tags
TagLookup TagsSummary
TransactionLookup VariationMinimum

Also due to low usage, we will be discontinuing Multiple Operation Requests and TextStream Search Parameter.

Yes it will effect the script Old Admin Danny has already confirmed this with this responce

The update from Amazon will affect the script because of the "Multiple Operation Requests" removal, but it will be an easy fix to just make the script do two separate lookups instead of one where required.

well i didn't get that response from Danny.

I am not technical so i didn't understand what the quote meant.

Basically the new owners will have to make this change for us because the script is encrypted if it wasnt then a member of the community would be able to help on it.

And WOW I just noticed how much the new owners DON'T come and answer posts on the forums here OLD admin was here daily, thanks guy........ (New owner could we maybe get ya to stop by here a little more often) Will the script be updated in a timely manner I remember you said you would need to hire programmers. We as store owners need to make sure we have 0% down time and thats the only reason im asking.

Matt unfortunately the new owners havent been around here in a while and I can not say that it will be I am starting to look at other options to replace ans as my stores. Its sad really this software has so much potential

Yes, we will make updates in the script before API changes will be implemented by Amazon.

I hope we can see some updates real soon.

I still think we will have something new if the updates are applied faster.
