I am very confused about running the cron job on the cron.php. Could someone guide me on this.

i used the wget -qO /dev/null cron.php?key=123abc
suggested by twitch.

and used email notification when cron happens but it always sends me an permission denied error.

dont really know that's causing but i have it set up like this:

wget -q -O /dev/null /home/<username>/public_html/<domainname>/cron.php?key=123abc

this is on hostgator btw
