Recommendations for AffiliateNicheScript

Recommendations for AffiliateNicheScript

Postby Nirose » Sun May 22, 2011 3:40 am

i think google is cracking down on affiliate sites badly so i think we should gather some ideas to make the script produce some unique content.

- I recommend the script download the image and keep it in the server so that every image on the site don't link to amazon site. and use of yahoo smushit api to optimize images would be great also.
- addition of new sites other than amazon and ebay.
- ability to customize the seo urls.
- a custom cart that allows the user to add their own product and sell.
- better rss for the whole site not just for category wise.
- optimize the script to become faster while testing with google pagespeed and yahoo yslow. (they rank very low on these tests)

I hope you take these and others that follow into consideration.

Its really not very important SEO wise to cache images on ur server, Bots can anyway find is your site Thin or Not.
Your idea is good but benefits are really not obvious.

- addition of new sites other than amazon and ebay.

Do you mean adding other API datafeeds like shopzilla, shopping.com ???

- ability to customize the seo urls.

Can you explain this in more Details?
Do you think what is alreeady there is not Enough?

- a custom cart that allows the user to add their own product and sell.

Your sites are thin site, they are not authority enough that wins the confidance of a user to add their product, moreover this feature needs lot of hacks of the ANS Engine.
Nither its very important to have this Feature.

- better rss for the whole site not just for category wise.

That's a good Point, I have once asked Dmitry for this. We do need site wide RSS, i mean for Search.php pages also.

Dmitry, Can you please take it forward?

- optimize the script to become faster while testing with google pagespeed and yahoo yslow. (they rank very low on these tests)

I found ASN is enough fast whole time it takes is pulling from API & caching XMLs.

Hello.

I'll try add RSS wherever I can.

Nirose wrote:- a custom cart that allows the user to add their own product and sell.

Then this is not affiliate script it will be a store.

Can add RSS for Seach.php Plz....

Even if not for search-blend.php its ok but we need for search.php

And did you look into adding XML Cache Forever Option in Advanced Settings?

Please add that also.

Hey guys can someone delete the porn in here.

Its really not very important SEO wise to cache images on ur server, Bots can anyway find is your site Thin or Not.

When every image on a page is pointing to some other site. that's a def minus in SEO.

Do you mean adding other API datafeeds like shopzilla, shopping.com ???

yes

Can you explain this in more Details?
Do you think what is alreeady there is not Enough?

i think if we can get none on all the dropdown menus on seo urls option, it would be enough.
or even add the ability to change the site.com/p/ to something like
site.com/browse/ or
site.com/buy/ or
site.com/product/

Your sites are thin site, they are not authority enough that wins the confidance of a user to add their product, moreover this feature needs lot of hacks of the ANS Engine.
Nither its very important to have this Feature.

i didn't mean the user of the site. but us, the admins of ANS sites. this would get even more customers attracted to buy ANS. i don't think it should just be a thin site. just a request though.

I found ASN is enough fast whole time it takes is pulling from API & caching XMLs.

I'm aware of the fact it takes time to extract data from the API. i'm talking about scripts, css and other codes that could be minimized to make the site load faster, we can do that on our own(as i've done) but it would be great if the developer took it into consideration.
