SEO Url's does not seem to be working. I get 404 errors when SEO Url's is on.

Hi,

Please make sure you have uploaded the .htaccess file from the zip file to the root of your website.

Also your server must be capable of using the apache mod_rewrite functionality.

Ya... I own a small hosting company, well aware of the requirements - .htaccess exists and apache mod_rewrite is enabled.

Sorry I did not mean to sound patronizing, most users here are not server admin's and I have to start somewhere :)

Without providing any detailed information, it sounds like your server has some non standard configuration. We have hundreds of users using the script successfully with SEO urls enabled.

If you could be kind enough the provide me with some more information on your setup (url, phpinfo,os+version etc...) I will be happy to investigate.

If you don't want to post this information in the public forum either reach 5 posts count & pm me the details or email admin [@] affiliatenichescript.com

Something has just come to light which may help, can you verify if it is all pages or just the Product pages which are returning 404 errors?

I guess I should have been specific. It happens with products Only. Category and other links are working properly.

but for others who might read this post with same 404 issue when you set seo links to on and use something other than php as your seo link extension. You still have to update the htacess file manually...

You must manually change this:

When I first installed I didnt realize this part wasnt automatic when I chose my choice of seo extension and its one of those thgings we learned early on in our IM careers but its always the small things we overlook, me anyway!
