Is there any way to control sorting of subcategories or to exclude certain subcategories?

Answered my own question sort of...Found how to exclude and resort.

Would be nice to have a little more control over categories (i.e. making your own structure).

Also, did not find a way to change the "Amazon Search Index" after a category is created.

This is intentional because of the way node data is pulled from Amazon when you first add the category.

If you changed the search index of a top level category, all of the subcategories would become unlinked because they are expecting their parent id to be something else.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Guess I need to make sure I pick the correct one the first time.
